Wired knitting

Last night I started playing around with knitted wire again. Here are the results...

This bracelet is from Nancy Wiseman's book Knitting with Wire. It is actually pretty easy to make, but a bit hard on the finger tips. I like the color coated wire a lot. As soon as my fingers heal up a bit, I will make another one!

I'm absolutely impressed by your wire knitting! This is something I've wanted to do for ages, and you've certainly inspired me now to give it a try! Beautiful work!

I have heard about knitting with wire. Wow! Looks like fancy artwork. How did your needles fair in the making of the wire bracelet? Do you use metal needles?

I do use metal needles, you really have to. The wire leaves scars in wood or plastic, plus the work needs to be able to slide easily. Metal needles are unharmed in the process!
